About Marti Construction
You don't need the cheapest contractor.
You need the right one.
If you've ever hired someone who disappeared mid-project, cut corners you didn't find out about until later, or just never really listened to what you were trying to accomplish — you already know the difference.
The right contractor asks questions before picking up a tool. They think through the details, tell you the truth about your options, and treat your home like it matters. That's what we're here to do.
Who We Are
We're not the right fit for every project — and that's intentional.
Marti Construction works best with homeowners who care about doing things the right way. People who have a vision, a complicated problem, or a project that other contractors either oversimplified or said couldn't be done.
We specialize in the projects that require more thought — structural work, complex remodels, creative builds, timber frame construction, decks, screened porches, and the kind of custom details where craftsmanship actually shows.
If you want it fast and cheap, we're probably not your people. But if you want it done right — planned carefully, built with skill, and handled with respect for your home — then we should talk.

The Story Behind the Work
30 years of building things the hard way — on purpose.

When Mike Marti was nine years old, he built a treehouse about 40 feet up in a tree behind his house. The only way up was a two-inch tugboat rope he got from a neighbor. Most kids would have built something closer to the ground. Mike built it where it was interesting.
That instinct — to take on the challenging thing, figure it out, and do it right — has shaped everything about the way he works.
After high school, Mike got into framing houses, and by the time he was 20, he had started his own company. He spent years framing residential construction, which gave him something most contractors don't have: a deep understanding of how a house actually works from the inside out. How loads transfer. How structure ties together. Why certain details matter even when nobody will ever see them.
He's always gravitated toward the harder parts of the work — roof framing, custom stairs, finish carpentry, crown molding, structural details, and the kind of problems that don't have an obvious answer. When other people say a project can't be done, that's usually where Mike gets interested.
In 2008, the business shifted more toward remodeling and custom residential work — and that's where it's been growing ever since. Today, Marti Construction takes on complex remodels, decks, screened porches, structural repairs, timber frame builds, and the creative projects where a homeowner has a real vision and needs someone with the experience to bring it to life.
Mike also offers construction consulting for homeowners, carpenters, builders, and architects who need an experienced eye on a complicated project — someone who can look at a difficult detail and figure out a practical way to execute it in the field.
What Working With Us Looks Like
We think before we build. And we communicate the whole way through.
You'll be heard.
Before anything else, we want to understand what you're trying to accomplish — your vision, your concerns, your priorities. We ask a lot of questions, and we listen to the answers.
You'll understand your options.
We don't just show up and start. We'll walk you through what needs to happen, what the tradeoffs are, and what we'd recommend — so you can make good decisions with confidence.
Your home will be respected.
We keep job sites clean and organized. We use dust containment when needed. We work around your life as much as we reasonably can — because living through a construction project is stressful enough without a contractor making it worse.

Experience You Can Count On
Built on 30 years of field experience — not guesswork.
Mike's expertise isn't from a classroom. It's from three decades of solving real problems on real job sites — framing houses, figuring out complicated roof systems, executing custom details, and working through the kind of challenges that require both skill and creativity.
He's worked on projects ranging from detailed finish carpentry and structural repairs to full remodels, custom decks, screened porches, and complex residential builds. He has the network and the subcontractors to manage full projects from start to finish — or he can consult on just the parts that need the most thought.
"Mike and I go back several decades. He loves geometry and math so framing, decks, etc. get him the most excited. He doesn't rely on just his string, square, level, laser — the tools and the math have to check each other. Until they agree, his work is not acceptable. He's detail oriented to the smallest detail and he loves a challenge. I have no hesitation referring Marti Construction to anyone wanting the highest quality."
