    Repairs & Problem Projects

    When something's wrong,
    we figure it out.

Structural issues, water damage, botched work, and the projects other contractors said couldn't be fixed — this is where we do some of our best work.

    Repairs & Problem Projects

If you've been told it can't be fixed — get a second opinion.

Some of the most satisfying work we do starts with a phone call from a homeowner who's frustrated, confused, or stuck. They've had a contractor disappear mid-project. They've discovered something wrong inside a wall. They've been told a repair isn't possible or isn't worth doing.

More often than not, there's a real solution. It just takes someone willing to slow down, look carefully, and think it through.

    That's what we do.

    Problem Projects We Take On

If it's broken, we can probably fix it.

    Water damage repair and remediation
Rot repair — structural and cosmetic
    Structural repairs and reinforcement
    Floor joist repair and sistering
Wall removal and structural header installation
Fixing or finishing work left incomplete by another contractor
Correcting improperly installed plumbing, framing, or structural elements
    Subfloor repair and replacement
    Foundation-adjacent framing issues
Older home repairs where materials or methods require experience to work with correctly

Not sure if your situation fits? Describe it to us anyway. If we can help, we'll tell you. If we can't, we'll tell you that too.

    Why These Projects Matter

Most construction problems started before anyone noticed them.

Water gets in through a flashing detail that was never right. A floor joist gets cut to run a drain line — and nobody reinforces it. A contractor patches the visible damage without finding the source.

These aren't just cosmetic issues. Left unaddressed, they get worse — and they get more expensive.

When we come in on a repair project, we don't just fix what's visible. We try to understand what caused the problem, whether there's more to it than what's on the surface, and what the right solution actually looks like long-term.

That takes more time than slapping a patch on it. But it's the only way to actually fix it.

    Our Approach

    We assess before we act.

Repair projects often have more to them than what's initially visible — especially on older homes or projects where previous work was done incorrectly. Before we propose a solution, we want to understand the full picture.

That usually means a site visit where we look carefully at the affected area, ask questions about the history of the problem, and think through what's actually going on before recommending an approach.

We'll tell you what we find, what we think needs to happen, and what it's going to take. Honestly — even if the answer is more involved than you were hoping for.
